  2.  @raymondpaller6475  the argument for free market is that competition increases efficiency and productivity, thus making things more affordable for the wider public. If that efficiency is held by a monopoly they don't need to pass it to the customers in lower prices. It's just going to increase the profit margin. It doesn't benefit the market
