  4. The whole crypto space is just turning into the banking system it ought to replace. Centralized instituations holding most of the funds, lending out funds way too risky, etc.

  5. No, they just have safety systems set up, it's all insured, robberies are just calculated in as cost, just like theft is caluclated in in retail (without anyone creating new items out of thin air)

  10.  @keith8758  I've heard of these methods so many times but really like, if your crypto is worth a lot, how's it safe to have something laying around that's worth so much? Couldn't - instead of someone hacking your online wallet - someone just break in and threaten you to make you hand over the cold storage wallet and password? Seems like the crypto equivalent of hiding money under the mattress?

  12. No you're not but in the end, nothing is safe. Cash can be stolen, lost, physically destroyed, etc.

  13. Same. I also think that if crypto ever does catch on it's going to be some new variant that solves all those reoccuring issues. Pretty much never in history was it the first versions of something that led to widespread adoption. We keep seeing problems in today's crypto so it's not going to be the successful version of crypto if there ever will be one
