  2. Wouldn't it be more equal if you just got 3000 USD and then saw the card? Because otherwise you just randomly gained a valuable asset in one case and not in the other

  3. Food doesn't seem comparable, you need to eat a certain amount so throwing bad tasting food away is a loss. Also kinda falls in that is it worth 5 dollar story
