"after one bad fight" makes it hard to judge if her behavior was actually unreasonable. Maybe you did something that ruined her trust in you deeply. Maybe she was unreasonable.

@laospeedwagon3023 That's such bs. Why would you need a matching IQ? The only thing that matters to not fight a lot is attitude, the only possible consequence of different IQ is that one might not understand everything the other says if they're thinking at their highest intellectual ability but there's no reason to talk at that level anyway there, so don't pretend that failing a relationship is due to your big brain. If you're actually smart you should have figured it out, the media depiction of someone being too smart to talk to "normal" people is nonsense, that only happens if the person also has social problems that makes it harder to interact with people not the same as them but that can happen at any IQ

Detecting sarcasm without some obvious sign requires two things: first something you might call intelligence and second knowledge on what's being said. When you watch comedy you can assume that it's not meant seriously but in something like an interview not everyone watching knows enough about what's being said to detect the sarcasm. For example, some people actually hold believes someone else might say sarcastically but if you don't know that person well enough you can't tell the difference and that has nothing to do with intelligence
