  2. It's an association trick of marketing. I don't know the official term but it goes like you put a good thing to your product and people tend to think better about your product or associate attributes with your product. It works to some degree even if you're aware of it. Just think how differently you'd think of them if they hired someone from a different area, like traditional banking. Besides, for many, having a celebrity makes at least seem like it's legitimate, like why would they do it if it's not right (of course that's not always true)
