  1. 1:50 Austria didn't buddy up with Hungary. They already controlled the territory but with increasing nationalism combined with the fact that the Austrian empire was multi ethnic and thus nationalism was a driving force to rip it apart and to prevent that they gave more autonomy to Hungary for self governance for internal affairs.

  2. Saying he's not German is technically correct from a legal entity standpoint but people back then did have a common identity and Austria and Germany probably would have merged post ww1 if it wasn't disallowed by the winning powers

  6. I find it quite dumb particularly because the whole point of the Nazi ideology was categorizing people by race and seeing their own as superior and being ruled by what they saw as a foreigner would go totally against that

  7. Bavarians and Austrians are closer in language and culture than Bavaria and the rest of Germany. I'm from Austria, been in Bavaria few times and I can barely tell a difference. Then i know some Germans further north and they are noticably different

  8. ​ @alechboy3578  i don't know much about of the ideology of Netanyahu but at least in action he's far better than Hitler who called for the execution of many, including their own Germans if they were disabled or seen as unfit in other ways
