Offices made a lot of sense when everything was done on paper. Could quickly pass it on to another person, store everything in one place. With computers and fast internet that's no longer necessary and home office during lockdown has proven it works quite well without the office

I've heard it many times before but I don't buy this reasoning at all. Companies are happy to lay off tens of thousands of employees if it saves them money so why would they artificially inflate their own need for office space and supplies? Even if it's all owned by the same holding it doesn't make sense to create artificial transactions within the corporate structure when it just costs money. The real reason is either the ability to micromanage, in particular giving employees more work if they finish early or to make people quit on their own so it doesn't look like they're having economic troubles

I wouldn't be so sure about affordability though. Sure, remote work makes it possible to live in cheaper areas but it also makes it possible for companies to hire people from lower cost of living places who demand lower wages

I don't think giving every single employee an own room would be a good idea. In an ideal world most people would like to socialize during work because people are social creatures. It's usually corporate culture that kills that

I find it crazy how much some people spend on their car each year. My car didn't even cost 20k when I bought it and it was a brand new one

Why don't you say those mastic four words?

There are actually so many such cases. We have better solutions for so many things but there are many who benefit from the status quo and would lose in case of change so there is none

If enough pandemics like covid happened I'm sure they'd change things in a way that a job like that won't necessitate paying for doing nothing. It was just unexpected and the cheapest way out for the time being

@Zethy it doesn't make sense to judge a videos performance after 36 minutes, especially since YouTube shows you numbers that are old because they try to verify it first

Did you not see the examples in the video? Could be described in three words
