  1. Your comment is very misleading. His initial idea was using the price difference on postal stamps in the US and Europe. Theoretically that would work on the price difference but the logistics apparently made it so that he never actually did it. In the end the supposed profits were so high that there weren't enough postal stamps But the basic idea of selling low at one place and higher at another is totally a legit way to make money and not a Ponzi scheme
