  2. I think it has more to do with Russia being so big, requiring long supply lines and longer to get to the cities. Otherwise it wouldn't have taken so long and they'd be done before winter came

  3. They didn't really have enough equipment to cross the English channel, so I doubt it would have been guaranteed to work. But I agree that he became to ambitious. At the beginning they were more diplomatic and thus prevented other nations to start fighting them directly. But then when all that went so smoothly he got delusional and overestimated the power of the German military

  4. Maybe that was because unlike the German military the Italian one kept failing under their fascist plans from the start and had to be bailed out by the Germans regularly
