  1. When I look at all the couples that exist then looks doesn't seem to be a general requirement. Sure it's an advantage but it's not required for everyone. Not even things like job, wealth etc seem to matter. For example i know someone who didn't have a good job, wasn't a model but i don't remember meeting him without being in a relationship

  2.  @Amphitera  ancient civilizations were full of sex, it's only with Christianity spreading that it got pushed in the background (but still happening)

  3. For me personally it was the curiosity of how it actually is. Like on one hand society made it look like it's a big thing but then some do it so casually on the side
