I won't lie. This is definitely me when I'm stealing videos from Youtube.

JustinWilliams-ed2ug nah most people would tag it incorrectly and a few people will screw it up intentionally. And without a right tag system people will use different terms for the same thing so you can't find anything and if you use aliases to fix that you'll end up with wrong ones since words often don't have a single meaning I've seen many websites with a tag system and those who don't have someone to enforce that they're used correctly often have such useless tags that they're basically non usable

@DrAcapellas trying it is one thing, why did you keep smoking after trying? (not judging, I'm just curious)

@BisexualPlagueDoctor our physics as we know it breaks down which means we don't know what's actually the case. As far as i understand it, the singularity is just the result of the mathematics used in physics but given they break down there it might as well be wrong. Just like Newtowns gravity model generally works well for us, it couldn't predict the path of Mercury around the sun, so there's a possibility our current models while good at making many predictions correctly are still missing something. And that's essentially given that any extreme gravity like that would require merging relativity and quantum physics which has failed so far

@condor5912 it's only held together by gravity. Dark matter is an explanation why there gravity seems to appear stronger in the galaxy than can be explained by visible matter. Dark energy is used as an explanation why the universe's expansion is accelerating

Imagine the aliens visit us one day - to tell us to stop launching nuclear waste into space
2
Us not remembering it correctly has to have some purpose like reframing and learning from that. Especially thinking about negative events always staying unaltered would just torment you like people with perfect memories often end up

How about learning to do well with money?

+MattMzansi Doesn't it harm Youtube as a whole?

String theory is outdated by now anyway

@Vicioussnakeboy eventually the rest of the observable universe will be so far away that they move away faster than you could catch up at speed of light and later they'll vanish from the sky

I don't think the mirrors would stay in place for long without minor adjustments made by humans from time to time

I feel like having some chemical solution, maybe involving bacteria on higher atmosphere levels where they won't get killed, would be a cheaper solution. Sure it won't be easy but at least once it started we don't need to keep operating flinging machines and bacterias might be able to grow exponentially which could decrease needed time

I did try smoking out of curiousity but for me there were so many negative immidate side effects that it was not worth it at all. For one, everything smelled, my hand, my mouth, my breathe, my clothes etc and it couldnt be washed off. I also tried it in a fairly neutral setting, so not like being stressed, the feeling was kinda nice but all in all not worth it, especially with knowing that if I kept doing it itll soon just about reliefing the addiction

I assume that's supposed to cheer you up but this idea makes me feel incredibly lonley, like you spend all your life with yourself and can't even escape that when reaching out to others

Might even reduce the amount of employed people.

I'm so curious about how do interactions end up being. Will it be alien species trying to control others or does the progress to have such technology also develop a level of rationality to be less violent, maybe because it's too costly in space?

@mato4334 it's not just price or calories. A vegan diet requires you to be more careful with what you eat to not get a deficiency. There are certain vitamins for example that are very rare in many vegan options but necessary to survive. So you might find a cheaper option calories wise but that doesn't mean you won't need to add other vegan ingredients that are more expensive to add the missing parts

How can we make any assumptions at all of outside the simulation if we're in one? What if there's no connection to actual reality?

How would the water stay liquid at those temperatures? Is the increased pressure enough?
