  2.  @MoosenOggen4343  I dont know to how many Evangelicals this applies to but a good portion (at least of those with powers big enough to influence what the US government does with Israel) actually defends Israel not for the sake of the Jew's living their but for themselves. I don't remember the details but it's something about when the reveletion comes they will get the land of Israel. Butchered it but it should explain that there is no contradiction here
