  1. in reality, jaguars are known for only rarely attacking humans, whereas leopards punch well above their weight class and achieve the most human kills after tigers. an individual leopard ranks in second place for human kills of any man-eating cat in modern times (around 400). a weird thing about that is that leopards vary greatly in size across their huge range throughout most of africa into south asia, and the ones that frequently kill humans are the smaller leopards in asia, which are like half the size of a mountain lion.
