  3. whether you consider logistics or just combat experience, I have generally been surprised by the apparent lull in american combat deployments in the past ~5 years, because it seems clear to me that america has deliberately kept fighting wars since WW2 in part to constantly keep and demonstrate extremely high combat readiness. it seems to me like this american combat readiness must now be lower than it has been for decades (though the break since the last major combat deployments hasn't been long yet, and moat of the same soldiers and weapons could still be used today). of course there also is the military-industrial complex driving america to keep attacking others all around the globe, but I think a lot of it has actually been a political choice to emphasize america's threatening military posture. which russia may now have started to do a lot more, and china is 100% guaranteed to start soon (my guess is >50% chance that china invades taiwan this year to make use of the west's diverted attention and economic weakness from sanctions - taiwan's invasion season is april-july).

Samzel Gibson russia only has the second most powerful military if you count nukes (with nukes specifically it's unclear who is number one since russia claims to have a bigger number of warheads and some extra terrifying new weapons, but it's possible that most of their delivery systems and defense systems would underperform compared to america's far better financed arsenal), otherwise it's china. within the next 15 years, china will have tge world's most powerful military and will replace america as the global empire.
