  1. most people who are still in ukrainian-controlled donbass with heir kids are being actively irresponsible. most of them had a chance to evacuate when russia was withdrawing from kyiv, after the ukrainian government told all civilians to evacuate donbass. I understand adults choosing to stay, but those responsible for children really should have left by now, and I think almost all of them had chances to leave. in fact actually smart people would have packed and got going out of donbass immediately after putin announced the recognition of the donbass people's republics (within the entire territory of the oblasts of luhansk and donetsk) and the deployment of russian troops into donbass. that was clearly an announcement of intent to conquer all of donbass, making all of it a war zone. that was around the 20th of february, these people should have decided a LONG time ago to get their children out! europe has really stepped up, and for kids in particular, evacuation to western ukraine or the EU is much better than staying under bombardment!
