  1. sorry, but nobody would fire a shot for taiwan. it would receive significantly less support than ukraine, both because the invasion would be less threatening to relevant western powers, and because the prospect of fighting against and stopping trade with china is far scarier still than it is against russia. it's quite absurd to look at what's happening in ukraine and still think that taiwan would get an actual military intervention.

  2. annexing taiwan by force is an official priority of the CCP, and china is not at all democratic, so it doesn't matter if the people want it.

  5. sorry buddy, but no foreign military would fire a shot in defense of taiwan. taiwan would receive less support than ukraine because its invasion would be less threatening to the west, and a war against or even embargo of china is a far scarier prospect than against russia. taiwan would be on its own. china might even be able to fully blockade taiwan against all aid by both sea and air. I don't know how the invasion would play out, but it's very clear how the assistance would turn out - there would be very very little.
