Owen Paul Lucas no, my point is that saudi arabia is literally the muslim equivalent of the handmaid's tale. the closest the US is to the handmaid's tale is through its support for saudi arabia, which has been a bit stronger in the past than it is now, for example recently under trump and I'd say also under obama and bush. the US relationship with saudi arabia is almost exactly like having gilead as a "strategic partner" on the arabian peninsula. minus the nukes.
