"is it a life" isn't the question. a chicken is a life, too. the question is whether it is a PERSON, and that is most reasonably defined by the level of sentience of a human embryo at whatever state of development. around 6 weeks, human embryos are nowhere near sentient yet. it's really ridiculous how many people think "life begins at" is a good argument. that is so obviously not the point.
