yes, though the soviet union also was at times specifically antisemitic and treated jews much worse than christians, which is why there was a big migration of soviet jews to israel and western europe.

matza is so horribly bland that burning it improves the flavor. the spots in the video look dark brown, not black, which is probably just right considering how bad it would be if you burned it any less. ;)

there's probably an element of intentionally supporting the jewish community in ukraine. a little money for americans goes a long way in ukraine and ukrainian wages are very cheap from an american perspective, so american jews are paying what for them is a negligible amount of money (;)) to keep ukrainian jews employed.

half of the people on american TV pronounce kherson "keersen" and say "belogrod" instead of belgorod for no reason. I think the worst was when they were talking about mykolaiv. xD isn't dnipropetrovsk in the area where the war is going? those pronounciation attempts would be hilarious.

Samson Soturian because english spelling is chaotic and nonsensical. you can't actually decide a definitive english spelling for a word based on how it sounds, or a definitive english pronounciation for a word based on how it's spelled. english has many different spellings for one sound and many different sounds for one spelling. and of course english has sounds that ukrainian doesn't have and ukrainian has sounds that english doesn't have - most obviously ukrainian has a normal 'r' instead of that english pseudovowel shit, and they have that thing that's spelled as 'kh' in english, which to be clear is very much not the same as 'k'.
