what I have noticed is that overthe past year or so, search engines (or rather duckduckgo and occasionally google after I got frustrated) have gotten very very bad at providing good results. whereas I remember things being auch that thefirst few search results at the top of page 1 would always bepaid of manipulated trash, at least a third of the first page would be decent results that matched what I was searching for to a high degree and came from a variety of multiple websites that weren't all totally comventionally authoritative(like major news sites). today, it seems like I can hardly ever get search results that are based on a strong search term match and score low on the nor.ie-axis, rather what I see are pages upon pages of search results bizarrely constituted of the same small handful of domains with all sorts ofpages that hardly have anyzhing to do with the search terms. I imagine it's a very badly adjusted overreaction against search engine manipulation - they just sttick to whitelisted sites extraordinarily stricty.
