iran getting to spend 6 billion on humanitarian goods means that 6 billion of iran's other money doesn't need to be spent on that. iran gets to spend this money on things they would have bought anyway. the restriction is completely meaningless. this is just a gigantic bribe, and an even bigger L than biden's preceding absurd instances of overpaying for american hostages. you can hardly get dumber than this in international politics, it's incredible! americans abroad are less safe now because of it, and it will cost the US more money that it will pay to its enemies. the fact that biden-friendly media are reporting this like it's a matter of legitimate controversy whether it's a good thing to be the US president who starts paying billions of dollars in ransom to america's biggest enemies for the release of american hostages is ridiculous. it's the same sort of application of thought as the recurring biden classic "is there such a thing as being too old for the most important job in the world, or is it a hate crime to believe this?"
