russia is no longer armenia's ally. this is misinformation pushed by azerbaijan to gain international sympathy against armenia. russia was on armenia's side in the 90s, today russia is neutral because of azerbaijan's successful leveraging of its natural gas and armenia's democratic revolution against russian interests. actually, this attack now is pretty likely to be orchestrated between azerbaijan and russia to draw attention away from russia's failure in ukraine. azerbaijan's dictator has no trouble getting along with putin. if anything, they're even more friendly than russia is with turkey, azerbaijan's main ally.
