  1. the greens are complwtely incapable of realizing that they should have moved away from their anti-nuclear roots at least a decade ago because CO2 emissions are a much bigger problem than nuclear waste or nuclear accidents now. the first priority for modernizing the energy supply should be to reduce the amount of fossil fuels we dig up as quickly as possible, because it's completely insane to fantasize about sequestering carbon in the future while we are still digging up perfectly sequestered carbon and burning it for much less energy than sequestering the same amount in the future would cost.
