  2. yeah I looked it up, it's COMPLETELY wrong that the EU is banning or has banned indonesian palm oil. we use a lot. of it in the EU, and that won't change from our side. there is merely discussion of a future ban of palm oil-based biofuel, to avoid supporting destructive oil palm farming in what is supposed to be an ecologically positive effort to move away from fossil fuels. so not really about not supporting palm oil production, more about not being laughed at for causing environmental destruction specifically in the name of saving the environment.

  3. HOW is the price of cooking oil normally 1€ per liter in indonesia? I'm pretty sure that's about normal for canola or palm oil here in germany. indonesia has much lower wages and is the world's biggest producer of palm oil, the cheapest cooking oil, so HOW is the price supposed to normally be the same there as in germany? that makes absolutely no sense!
