it's not the final days yet, it will probably be around two months. though the US did move up the withdrawal date because they were worried that if they actually eaited until the 9/11 anniversary, they would draw attacks trying to mess up their weird withdrawal celebrations (of course the US is again pretending that they haven't lost; they just don't want to play anymore). I'd say looking at the maps of taliban conquest, they'll probably capture all or almost all areas and cities except for kabul soon, and then it won't necessarily be easy to predict how long a siege of kabul might take. apparently the taliban might be interested in negotiating surrenders because not fighting theirway through kabul or other cities would leave them with more popular aupport and of course a more intact country to rule.
