  3. a bit less than 25% of the poulation and about 31% of the dead are adult men. the difference between those numbers is the upper limit for and likely still significantly higher than the real percentage of combatants among the dead, considering that men are sure to also be overrepresented among those killed after being misidentified as combatants. the only way for more than 6% of dead to be combatants is for many combatants in particular to not be registered as dead at all.
