I find it odd that no test results are being announced yet, just these vague claims about some amount of salts and some amount of mercury on top of the smell of organic solvents. if the tests are done, why not actually announce the results? I don't think that the baltic sea is at much risk though. the baltic is already extremely polluted anyways, from industrial waste as well as enormous amounts of shipwrecks including those from two world wars as well as huge amounts of spent or dumped ammunition including chemical weapons, and probably a good amount of nuclear waste, too. and all that while having very little water exchange with the atlantic.
