  2. this is a perfect example of what I always say is the problem with cops: they think that the fact that they enforce the law in itself means that they are above the law. easily 70% of cops feel that way. 50% of cops feel that they are also entitled to displays of fear and submission by any civilian whom they dislike for any reason, simply because they have the power to do them harm, but mercifully choose not to.

  6. no, the employer doesn't pay. weren't you paying attention? theres an insurance company for that, that's why the insurance was the party being sued. german employees are mandated to be insured against accidents at work or on the work commute that cause inability to work (to whatevwr degree and for however long). on top of being mandated to have health insurance of course. pretty funny to listen to your inability to understand insurance. your assumption that every work commute is driving a car was also amusing.

  20. you TOTALLY misrepresented this case by cutting the clip short. these were two sisters (literally an figuratively) who were behaving inexcusably at walmart in front of two pre-school children of one of them, they were screaming, fighting, escalating the whole time, had not just no respect (understandable) but no fear of the cops, and that rather shove-like throat punch was in direct reaction to this one woman trying to bite the cop's arm. it wasn't the most restrained reaction by the cop, but it was midling and easily covered by police rules of conduct. for US police, these cops acted well. this is the best you can expect from a few months of training. 90% of fault lies with those two women, and the mother should be visited by CPS because she has demonstrated a violent temperament, bad judgment, and disregard for her kids' wellbeing by forcing them to watch their mom and aunt conduct a walmart screaming match and then get violently arrested. not a race issue, these are ~people of walmart~

Max Preston american police training is ridiculously short (I think it's like two to six months, here in germany it's more like two or three years). but what I'm talking about is a matter of the work culture and written and unwritten rules of the police departments. cops are taught to follow laws somewhat in training, but as soon as they join a department, theyare taught that that's not how any cop actually works, and tht there will be trouble for them if they try to do better.

I didn't know border patrol even had whips, but suddenly when there are black people, they do!
