  1. what are you talking about? this is stone age type technology, people could have made that 10-30.000 years ago. thw crysral knapping isn't even the hard part, the bone handle in the thumbnqil is more difficult to make. flint knapping is very simple, it just takes a bunch of practice to get good. you can find lots of youtube videos of people knapping better than those crystal blades (though I think crystal probably causes problems with knapping because it's not amorphous like glass, obsidian or flint).

I knew that americans are ignorant, but I would have expected you guys to know about the stone age. that's normal flint knapping, just with some nice quartz crystal. the only thing very impressive to people at the time would have been sourcing the big crystals, which would have been expensive because they make nice decorations like that. I'm pretty sure that 5000 years ago in spain, the stone age was technically over, but stone blades generally continued to be used for a long time alongside metal tools, for one because they were cheaper to source, and also because they are much sharper than any copper blade and generally sharper than a bronze blade. to be pedantic, they're sharper than steel blades too, but there the advantages of stell (durability) clearly win.

  5. look up "flint knapping" on youtube, it only takes very very simple tools. the fine work isn't done by bashing stones together though, but by pressing something like a piece of bone against the side of the blade edge.
