Cameron Rogers J&J should be used as a two shot vaccine equivalent to astrazeneca. J&J pushed it through the trials as a one shot to have their own market niche, and were apparently very successful with that. here in germany, J&J long was the one most widely accessible without appointment and from mobile vaccination stations, the idea being that it's given to homeless people and losers who can't be expected to come for a scheduled second dose. I thought from the first data points that I would think twice about getting J&J if it was the only offer for me, because it looked a lot like a trap in that I would officially be categorized as vaccinated and thus ineligible for the better vaccines, while actually having relatively low immunity, perhaps particularly to new variants. by the time I did get vaccinated, I had the option of an assigned mRNA vaccine and was given moderna. given the data I have seen since, that would now also be my first choice. :) well, moderna or sputnik V to be honest, because that stuff does seem to be a banger. here also is a one shot sputnik option called sputnik light which I'm pretty sure is better than J&J (I think they just use the first dose of sputnik V).
