that trigger mechanism seems like a really terrible design.

this design in the video is certainly idiotic. I reckon a reasonable thing would have been to use a minimal number of levers that each pivot around one round hole and pin. pivoting levers seem to have been very common in the 19th century automatic pistols and such featured on this channel, and I think they are much less vulnerable to changes in friction and will more reliably reset under spring pressure than these odd floating wedges. the trigger itself is also mounted rather bizarrely loose - if you're going to have a sliding rather than pivoting trigger, there has to be either a bar riding in that groove to hold orientation, or two pins behind one another in the groove to serve the same function. the video shows an undersized single pin, with the wobbliness of the trigger only constrained by the top and bottom of the trigger contacting the edges of its recess. that same trigger could have easily been made better by replacing the one undersized pin with two properly sized ones.

@FunhausRyan the trigger mechanism wasn't in the game, silly.

@FunhausRyan and what did I say?

@FunhausRyan no, because the trigger mechanism was never part of the digital design. the digital design was probably not supposed to be a flipped converted normal shotgun at all. I was not talking about the digital design in any way, your response does not respond to my comment.

@FunhausRyan you are failing to respond to my point. I made a specific criticism about the internal workings of the real life gun. you responded by blaming the video game design, which does not include internals and absolutely did not determine the design I criticize. your response is not related to my point of criticism. I'm not the one exhibiting the low cognitive capacity here.
