I don't know if there are living descendants of that king, or whether this gun was technically royal property or state property before the french revolution, but I feel like either the french state or the king's living descendants probably have a legal claim to this gun (unless it was royal property and there are no descendants).

  3. that's insane, this is a one of a kind antique gun made for a major king! FG-42s are small scale mass-produced modern military guns, and there are way more than one of them. an FG-42 is really only interesting to gun nerds, this king's rifle has collector's appeal to all sorts of filthy rich people who don't even care about guns.
