mr. felk must have had an unusually high opinion of very typical injection-molded plastic stuff, to expect customers to not severely penalize this gun in terms of money they would be willing to spend on it. this thing still would have had pretty normal pistol production costs, especially since injection molding is one of those manufacturing techniques that is most advantageous at very large scales, so a very odd choice for a company's first gun, which one would normally say should ideally be profitable at the lowest production numbers possible. and it's odd that he didn't at least trim the center seam thoroughly, enough to sort of hide what it is because of its negative association with cheap products.
