due to the undoubtedly increased security threat posed by surviving palestinians in the future, I believe the aim of the israeli political and military leadership is already set on expelling not just more or less all gazans, but also more or less all west bank palestinians (if they come under too much international pressure, they will instead seal off all remaining palestinian cities equivalent to how gaza had been). and then they intend to implement measures against palestinian citizens of israel ranging from surveillance and further reduced freedom of movement and habitation to mass internment and removal of citizenship. certainly israel is not thinking of occupying gaza like they occupy the west bank, it's thinking of the golan heights - where it expelled 95% of the population and eventually officially annexed the territory. the US is now the only country recognizing the annexation, another move like title 42 and the afghanistan handover undertaken by trump and not reversed by biden.

the word "terrorist" is used practically exclusively in counterproductive ways, so it's useless. but the hamassacre does meet what's supposed to be the definition perfectly. however, israel's official policy is to retaliate against all "terror attacks" with more severe responses, and then they firmly expect their enemies to be the ones to deescalate in literally every single engagement - somehow israel is the good guy and the enemy is the terrorist, even though israel chooses very intently to do more harm than the terrorists and to always be the ones escalating while the terrorists always are the ones deescalating. and I do mean always, israel considers any exchange of violence to be unfinished if that has not yet been achieved.

@nflixnchillz3189 plus half of them already don't have homes to return to even if the massacre stops, just ahead of the winter, and the utility connections and roads to much of what remains have been ruined. 80% of gazans already relied on food aid before, now it's 100%. nobody has money to rebuild, neither homes nor businesses. 4% of gazan households had access to safe drinking water before. now for over a month, gaza has had little to no water to flush sewers - so where did the sh** go? and the ruins stink of thousands of rotting corpses that could not be reached because more rubble to clear is being produced too quickly, and people need to limit their calorie expenditure. by the way, israel has made a point of not allowing any aid into their current northern invasion zone since they reached the sea north of wadi gaza, which was like half a week after the first few aid trucks were allowed in. so basically the north has not received any aid.

the "human" in "human shields" is just an adjective - human shields are shields.
