  3. On Americans… you probably know this since you studied at the U…but that’s basically Minnesota Nice (to your face) you described as the stereotype lol. I mean it’s not wrong tbh. Eh. I wanted to make a Putin/Stalin joke but I think the sarcasm would have been lost in text form. And as of now, it’s gotten basically NO play on the news outlets in the US from what I’ve seen. I’ve seen more from partisans and Russians than I have from Americans. Tucker is basically…buried here since he got the boot from Fox News.

  13. If I had to guess there's still a COVID-19 related travel ban into the US from most countries and that's why your friend couldn't get a visa. I don't recall seeing any news of a new ban on travel from Russia to the USA, but I do know that our governments are not happy with each other right now over stuff that politicians get mad about.

  20. I didn’t get a chance to watch during the premiere. I don’t watch movies either. I don’t have the attention span for them anymore. I watch a lot of YouTube. But tbh 17 years in TV, I just…have no desire to watch media anymore. And I wish you could just come (back) to Minnesota lol. But tbh Russians are pretty much persona non grata here in the States. Even a musician friend, who has long been a naturalized citizen (she’s a native of Moscow from the USSR days), is getting hate online. It sucks. Sigh. Hugs. I’m just glad you’re ok.   22. Sending hugs! TBH idk what to even say. I really don't. This situation is just..............horrible. For everyone. I have friends who have family on both sides of this. My dad's side came to the US from the Cherniv area of Ukraine (or well, used to be Ukraine, it's an area that was moved to Russia by the Soviets.) So this is.................all sorts of confusing and worrying. If any of that makes any kind of sense.

I honestly understand what she’s saying about feeling like you’re going to burn in hell. Oh and as to the people born in the USSR… One of my good friends is from Moscow. She’s one of my big supporters. And yeah, Minnesota is a pretty safe space for LGBTQIA+ people. Sadly, just don’t cross the border…and the whole sitch could get way worse depending on the outcome of the election in November. (Oh and Trans & Lesbian in Minnesota here btw.)
