It's not just that... for an administration that doesn't believe in climate change they sure are going after territory that is only valuable if climate change is real, accelerating and about to become impossible to ignore.

Asking us to have empathy for this person is like asking the people of France during the French Revolution to have empathy for Louis and Marie.

We don't enjoy a pollution free life. We simply can't see it anymore. That's what's occurring. The "smog" aka pollution is still there. It is now simply in particle sizes we can't see.

@ we're stuck mostly with how we're surviving it... and surprise surprise... they said as long as we can have the toys of this era still... it doesn't matter

@ And the only thing that changed is they filtered out or pulverized the particles down to something we can't see.

@ And many other tricks that create the illusion the pollution isn't all around us. And that the natural world exists. Most people have no idea that their towns are desserts with no real ecosystems and what we do is the equivalent of putting a houseplant in a living room while pretending the living room is now an ecologically diverse forest.

Every professional fire fighter I've talked with directly has stated they weren't surprised that these systems didn't have water pressure. These systems aren't designed for fighting a city wide natural disaster. They're for fighting a single structure fire and keeping it from spreading. The system that can pump out enough for a this sort of major wild fire DOES NOT EXIST... anywhere... it's why they used planes to dump water and fire retardant where they could. Imagine a 100 mph fire blizzard that lasts for days... imagine trying to fight that with a system that... even with the maximum amount of water being pushed into that system.... and know the pressure only lasts for a few hours at best... because that's just how water pressure works. Imagine a bunch of people with no concept whatsoever of fluid dynamics chuckleheading about politics and poor management as a way to distort reality for their political agenda. Any reasonable person with proper understanding of the situation appreciates the impossibility of combatting this disaster. The thermodynamics can't be overcome. We're talking about 2000°F being whipped up to 5 miles forward... we could have demolished a fire break line of 20 city blocks and inundated them with fire retardant and the fire would have still continued to spread.
