  1. Gravity is essentially acceleration. It’s the centripetal force base the centrifugal force based on the mass of the object. Inertia is the law that governs such forces. The attractive force is the same as the repellent force and we have a mass that counteracts the centrifugal force. Thus we don’t float away like hydrogen and helium.
