@ Immigration, especially undocumented immigration accounts for almost no impact whatsoever to your ability to buy a home. The fact that corporations are stealing land and climate change is driving internal migration is far more a factor... and you also hit the nail on the head... the cost of the money, and the profit made on the homes is absolutely the largest factor preventing home ownership... with one of the largest factor being that the vast majority of young people who could be phone owners already take out an amount equivalent to a mortgage for their schooling... which should not be capable of turning a profit and be interest free because the economic benefit per dollar spent on education returns 7x the money in economic returns. So no, immigration is barely a factor, and is essentially inconsequential... especially given current immigration policies. But private profits is absolutely a factor.

He's literally talking about himself and his colleagues... Congress is simply another part of maga... which is just the front group for oil.

@ Of course, I do understand that... but it's not what you believe it to be. Immigrants both documented and not paid 579.2 Billion in state and federal taxes and received only 20 billion in assistance. Meaning we gained significantly more than what they cost. Again, this issue is not what you think it to be.

@ being able to speak English isn't a bar for being a citizen... I know many people with green cards and citizenship who do not speak English... especially first generation. I also responded that taxes paid by immigrants is over 550 Billion more than what they received in assistance. The issue is simply much different than you assume it to be. Especially in terms of what's driving the immigration.

@ and even calculating that in... it's still 400 billion short of an economic loss.

@ Yeah, total tax collected is important here... that's not a loss... unless you are saying we failed to use that appropriately... and while I'd agree... it's NOT an immigration issue. And yes, over 300 billion of it is income tax collected. Real, hard data. Not my assumptions.
