What? You guys don't have anyone of Latino heritage that speak German growing up? [I was just as confused btw. Lmao]

@rzen1th I laughed way harder at that than I should have.

I have a .30 cal [Hatsan Mod130s]. Ammo is NSA hollowpoints. Bought it a couple years back but haven't used it yet. From what I hear it can take out a coyote but nothing bigger. The FPE isn't even 100ft-lbs if I remember correctly.

I wonder how the atf would enforce rules on airguns being that they aren't registered or applied for, even felons can purchase / possess them. I have two .177s, two .50 cal less-lethal handguns, two .22s, a .30 cal rifle- all of which operate on air and I guess would be firearms in canada, UK, Germany. How would they enforce rules on those? Edit: in America

@guardsmanom134 .22lr isn't a firearm? Or am I reading that incorrectly?

@guardsmanom134 Ah okay, I figured I had to be reading that wrong.

Said it before but I got shot at with [what I think was] 9mm last summer, and probably at about 100m. I could hear the electric wasp sound [after the inital POP] of the bullet before it skipped off the sidewalk about 10m in front of me 3 times. Admittedly I was scared shitless but realized there was no cover to run toward. Pretty sure someone was just trying to get a rise out of me for open-carring on my hip. Edit: wow, after hearing this, it might have been a .22!

@Infernovogel How does it sound anything like that? If it's your land, what king is Lording over you? What incentivizes people to brutalize anyone under the terms he laid out [he actually made a fairly solid argument as to why that wouldn't happen]? There are plenty of tools that can readily be used today for violence, and yet society hasn't broke down. The tools aren't the problem, it's criminals that are the problem. And criminals have plenty of access to tools capable of violence, even after their second amendment rights are revoked. Admittedly, I don't think people should be able to supersede federal and state laws on their private land, but otherwise they already do get to make rules for their property/land [landlords being an example].

@BritishTeaLover Not sure what the law is on muzzle energy, but all my airguns rank from 5FPE [6.77 joules] to 33FPE [44.75 joules]. The 33FPE I'd be afraid of- it's a 7.62/.30 cal. I haven't clocked what my .50 cal does, but it's slinging less-lethal rounds, not hollowpoints like the .30 cal.

@BritishTeaLover Appreciate the information. Thanks

Air rifles are regulated in Germany? Damn. Even felons can own one in America with no questions asked, or paperwork to be filled out. Just gotta be 18 in most states.

@athmaid That's brutal

If you have the best kit with little or no training, you're only outfitting your opponent when they take you out.
