  1. These idiots never read the fine print. In America, for example, we mainly/primarily rely on Natural Gas for our electric grid. We have enough power for our grid requirements, but not enough to also have everyone charging electric vehicles. To compensate, we would end up using coal-fired plants to generate this new electric demand. Coal-fired plants, which create more carbon than petrol engines that the electric vehicles replaced. Further, we'd most likely be importing that coal due to federal restrictions on mining/extracting local coal. That coal we'd be importing- any guesses who would be supplying it?
