@theresabromar5415
Perhaps I can give you some insight, and granted, it's from a man's point of view, but DV is DV.
I have been with my wife thirteen years, we have four children. It wasn't until just a couple years ago she started hitting me, and is very specific- perhaps even methodical in how she does it. She waits for me to fall asleep, then digs her elbows or knees into me, and if I don't show signs of being awake, it progressively gets worse (to the point of striking me) until I do wake.
I've confronted her about this before, and she claims to be sleepwalking. I don't believe her, however, as this was never a thing for a decade together and seemed to come from nowhere. She even checks to see if I'm awake before doing this, and will even make sleeping sounds (moaning, fake snoring, etc.) to sell this story.
We had relationship issues, where I believed she wasn't being faithful just before this began. And because we weren't getting along, I slept on the couch until she complained that she didn't want me sleeping anywhere but with her in bed. That didn't make much sense to me why it was such an issue, until she started assaulting me in my sleep.
I don't have family nearby, and I have limited resources- to the point I'm not able to live anywhere else. Our kids range from preschool to high school, and have never known a life without both their parents in the home. They are completely unaware of her behavior, of course- this isn't their battle. I have considered divorce, but I can't bring myself to do it- I genuinely love this person, and have faith that whatever is happening can be solved; that we can be like we were in our first decade. I can't imagine the pain my children would be in to see us divorce, and all of us would be far worse off financially, limiting opportunities for everyone.
I guess, at least from my perspective (and I understand not all DV situations are the same), the cure appears worse than the disease- so to speak. I don't want my children to feel like they have to take sides. I'd rather act as roommates with my wife (there's definitely no intimacy) until our children have grown than to start all over and completely fracture my family. Maybe I'm just unintelligent, or naive, or maybe even cowardly.

Some semisynthetic opioids, such as oxycodone, have been found as naturally occurring [though in small amounts] within the opium poppy [papaver somniferum]. A lot of oxycodone used in the medical supply is synthesized via thebaine, another naturally occurring opium alkaloid that can be used to synthesize a plethora of opioids, and opioid antagonists, such as nalaxone [opioid overdose antidote].
All opiates are opioids, not all opioids are opiates. Opiates are generally defined as those which are naturally occurring and not synthesized in laboratories. Opioids are a blanket term for all naturally occurring and synthesized narcotics.
Being that hydrocodone, codeine, oxycodone and others have been found recently to be naturally occurring, though again in small quantities, they could be argued as being opiates.
TLDR;
Opiates are natural - not synthesized, opioids are a blanket term for naturally occurring and/Or synthesized.

I said this elsewhere, but people need to understand how negotiation works. Sure, Russia is the "bad guy," I'm not saying it isn't in this war. But they also occupy Donetsk and Luhansk with the apparent backing of the people there, who are mostly ethnic Russians.
Realistically, Russia will end up with those regions annexed, but at the cost of peacekeepers in Ukraine. Both sides have to win and lose. Right now, Ukraine is poised to lose entirely because of the immense manpower Russia can throw at this, compared to the much smaller manpower of Ukraine. Ukraine needs an exit strategy in this, which means they must be prepared to lose in order to gain peace.
The loss Russia will likely have to suffer in this negotiation is that there will likely be immense western-influece [possibly peace-keepers] inside Ukraine, removing the ever-important buffer state that Russia has always demanded.

@WanderingExistence
Are there restrictions on children, say 3 years old, owning a chainsaw? What about a musket, matchlock or black powder rifle? There are no current [federal] laws against this. There are all manner of "hyperbolic" scenarios you could come up with, all being irrelevant to reality. Children aren't ad hoc independent creatures roaming the world of their own devices- they require parents to make them. You could argue the quality in parenting has waned dramatically in the past century, but again, this isn't a genuine pretext to deprive millions of their rights.
Do you think grenades didn't exist before the 1930s? Do you think fully-automatic weapons didn't exist before then? The question I was answering in regard to age dealt with mere firearm ownership, which yes, in the 1950s kids had firearms and even brought them to school for firearms instruction classes. Again, I recommend some history, though it would seem you might be stuck in your way of thinking and aren't open to the possibility you're latched on to solving hypotheticals instead of real-world problems.

@Lovesapuzzle
The director of the FBI (at the time) James Comey held a press conference explaining that Hillary had classified information, that it was even marked classified, and that some of it was even listed as SAP (Special Access Programs), which is the highest level of classification. Again, it isn't a matter of keeping score, it's a matter of impartial justice being equally served. This is clearly not impartial nor equal.
Further, this happens all the time when President's leave office, and any disputes, historically, are handled discretely through attorneys. Yet they chose to raid Trump. If you can't see the issues here, so be it. The majority of America, however, does.

@GuessWhoAsks
I appreciate your compliments. I must admit, I am no scholar on this issue as you seem to also admit [apologies if I am putting words in your mouth]. I certainly have beliefs though, and since you asked- I do not believe slavery is just/moral/correct/right. I must also admit I see this through the lense of my modern life and education.
As for whether Jesus denounces slavery, there is a quote that comes to mind:
Ephesians 4:31-32 ESV:
Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
This, perhaps, is sufficient a denunciation, or at least to me. There are, certainly, more quotes of Jesus demanding of humanity to love each other, even our "enemies," but this came to mind.
I still admit I cannot speak to the old testament, and it was a world/existence I am thankful I did not have to struggle against.
If I can elaborate or explain myself further, I'd be happy to engage with you. I cannot guarantee I have answers, but I am willing to open myself to someone who seems as open-minded as yourself.

Nothing is being done legally via religion, whether Christian, Jewish, or Muslim, or any other denomination.
History proves we ALL have bloody pasts, again, whether religious or not. Besides, history is not a pretext to deprive anyone of their rights, let alone to seek vengeance.
I hope in time you can come to be more tolerant of others, not only for the sake of humanity, but for your sake too. Good luck in life, friend.

It isn't that simple. Use, and therefore addiction, knows no bounds- not through socioeconomic status, race, religion, gender. You name a group, there's a portion of that group that's used and become addicted.
Those that manufacture, and even a majority of those who sell, do not use themselves. So you're asking to poison those who are already being preyed on.
I can understand why you might feel that way, but it's the wrong solution, amd aimed at those who actually need help.

For real though, if you aren't going Samsung Evo SSD, get Western Digital. I prefer using them for NAS and video surveillance storage because of how reliable they are even years after manufacturing. They have a tiered system (black=gaming, purple=DVR/NVR surveillance, red=NAS, green=low energy use, blue=general purpose) so it actually makes it easy to shop for your specific usage. No, I don't work for them, nor am I sponsored, I'm just an IT guy that has used them for 2 decades now, without regret. Good stuff.

Chinese CV virus, intellectual property theft, virtue signalling other countries while harvesting organs and detaining to camps the Muslim populations, going back on agreed UN resolutions to not make manmade islands to extend borders, threatening freedom of navigation... This, and many more puts China in a no-win situation.
Is Pelosi there for noble reasons? Obviously [to the geopolitically informed] not. But China's recent, and ongoing actions have made it difficult for China to claim itself victim to the U.S.
Personally, and millions more share my sentiment, I would prefer to see Pelosi prosecuted for her illegal actions at home [and possibly even abroad]. But her actions only seem quid pro quo in comparison with the CCP.
Ultimately, and as usual, it is the Commonwealth or average citizen that will suffer [on all sides] as a result of this global [and unnecessary] game of Chess. To them I can only apologize for her antagonism of the coming consequences.

Not that I can answer for JP, but based on his other interviews/podcasts, etc., this is exactly the case- they stopped their addiction, became [self] employed, started a relationship, got healthy as a result of looking for meaning and reducing chaos in their lives.
Though anecdotal, I can offer my own experience of when my father passed and I was the only of my brothers to accept attending his funeral [the other two did not like our father]. Then the oldest decided to attend, and began taking whatever valuables he wished from my father's estate. I was obviously skeptical, and the thought of my father's death becoming a "cash-grab" upset me.
I saw an episode where JP discussed not letting the tragedy of death unfold onto hell. Meaning, death is already a tragedy, but one need not let it devolve into hell by arguing amd fighting with those who survive the dead. Sure, it means I won't be able to confront my brother the way I'd like, but it also means I don't lose my father and my brother. JP has had a real impact on my life at a deep [familial] level.

@dsebx
Halle Baile stars in this film (Little Mermaid), whereas Halle Berry is the incredible and super talented actress most are familiar with, and the person you listed.
And the issue here is that they are engaging in the same race-swapping that people lamented ages ago when white actors were cast in place of actors/actresses of color (e.g. when John Wayne was cast as Ghengis Kahn), but now replacing historically white actors/actresses with people of color (this is historically a Scandanavian story). It would be distasteful, for example, to cast a white person as Shaka Zulu, or Blade, or Black Panther, or Pocohantas in the same way this is distasteful.
To go a step further, Disney is a company which has historically been ran and governed by individuals of discriminatory persuasion (I have to be careful what I type as to avoid censorship, so I apologize for the flamboyant language). Walt Disney himself engaged in these practices. They are attempting to garner favor amongst people of color while sweeping their history under a rug with this type of behavior.
For what it's worth, I'm not white, I'm just sick of all this deceit and division that's being sown.

Very weird video won't show the slaves that weren't black. There were plenty of white slaves, and slaves of other ethnicities (natives, etc.). Thomas Sowell has a great video on this, which also explains slavery was not unique to America, not in the slightest. It was actually the status quo, which is why the Republican party of the time was considered a reformer/progressive party (or "radical" as some would call it).
And there were plenty of slaves in the North, they (the people that divide North and South primarily on slavery) just conveniently seldom mention it.
To give full disclosure, I believe slavery is wrong in every way regardless of who is "master" and who is slave. No person is greater than another. I am a native American in the Pacific Northwest, whose ancestors were never near a battlefield, nor took any side in those times, as the State I'm in wasn't even a State back then.

@サリエリ-q5g
If you can't find a job/income, why are you trying to find a relationship? The crux of my advice was get yourself in a personally-desirable position that helps attract others. If you make no money, you shouldn't be looking for a relationship- you should be looking for income.
As I expressed, once you can take care of yourself, you expand out in a personally-meaningful way [so that the times you aren't attracting someone, your expansion is still meaningful]. At no point did I say wait for someone to make the first move- so I agree with you that I got lucky.
Ultimately, you can be a miserable man with no job, no hobbies, no drive and still get a relationship. Or you can be a stable, self-sufficient guy who has motivation & drive, and full of life. One of these is more likely to help attract a relationship and keep you satisfied with life during the times you are single though.
