He betrayed his country on behalf of Trump, and enriched himself - again at his countries expense - by lobbying on behalf of Turkey without disclosing his conflicting interests. Some would call that treason others would call it a Trump Swamp.

  2. Gen. Flynn made the mistake of doing Trump’s dirty work. He was used to convey to Russia/Putin that Trump would role back the sanctions of the Magmitski Act. But once it became public knowledge that Trump and crew were up to no good, Trump threw Flynn under the bus. Trump also had to back peddle on the promises he made tp Putin. For those of you who Trump is/was hard on Russia I call BS. People in his administration were hard but Trump always tried to be soft. Find one quote were Trump is critical of Putin.

Whether this was repayment for election assistance or a genuine love of Putin it is hard to say. But you are right to say that what Flynn did is not a crime. His crime was lying about the meeting to save his boss embarrassment and not disclosing that he was working on behalf of Turkey for pay. Both are serious charges. In the end I only blame Flynn for not disclosing his lobbying for pay on behalf of Turkey. The lying to protect his boss is to be expected.

His conversation got caught because he talked to the Russian Ambassador who was being wire tapped. Your rightwing selective knowledge is very telling.
