  1. Love the Movie Der Hauptmann, it clearly demonstrates how a portion of our society is willing to commit atrocities if sanctioned by authority. This is what concerns me about Trump’s Cult.

  2.  @ohauss  You describe very well the rise of the unlikely leader Hitler. My fear is that Trump, a lesser man, not as smart, less organized, and an atrocious speaker, is trying to tap into those same dark forces for America.

If only the German people had recognized who and what Hitler and his Nazis were, but many wanted Germany Great Again, they believed the Big Lies(s), and the Stab In The Back Myth aka The “Stolen Election. The German people embraced Authoritarianism, Xenophobia, Homophobia, Ableism, and Anti Semitism. So as you can see Treasonous Trump is a lazy, lower IQ, word salad, less organized Hitler. But none the less a serious threat to our American Democracy and the American People. Evidently you missed the point of Der Hauptmann.
