In a law suit, his own attorneys filed a court brief saying: “The general tenor of the show should inform a viewer that [Carlson] is not stating actual facts about the topics he discusses and is instead engaging in exaggeration and non-literal commentary.” So no facts, entertainment only, and all of it exaggerated. @Matthoole1 There are multiple sources. The Court Case is McDougal v. Fox News Network, LLC, No. 1:2019cv11161 - Document 39 (S.D.N.Y. 2020). If you google the key words TUCKER LAWSUIT MCDOUGAL you will get multiple hits from multiple news sites. If my memory is correct this is not the first case in which Fox Lawyers have defended one of their talking heads with this strategy. I vaguely remember Hannity & Dobbs sued over the Seth Rich story and having to settle out of court. The case for the Seth Rich law suit was much stronger and far more egregious than the McDougal case.
