  1. Field Flower I was thinking about the various economic/political theories. When everything is said and done all systems would be wonderful but for two things, greed and incentives. Trying to balance these two issues is the devil in the details. Left unchecked an improper balance, or a lack of corrective intervention ALWAYS lead to Oligarchs and Dictators.

  5. It’s funny to talk about America, Venezuela, Chavez, and Trump in our the same sentence as they have so much in common. Both Chavez and Trump were democratically elected. Both attacked democratic institutions as Deep State. Both tried to pack the Courts. Both packed Government with loyalists. Both claimed the Main Stream Media were “Enemies of the People”. Both claimed any news that criticized them as “Fake News”, and both attack anyone who challenges them as traitors and disloyal. Both had a media outlet that served the purpose of peddling “State propaganda” - for Trump it is Faux news. Both used executive power to by pass legislative branches. Both broke down all social norms that keep civilized people in check. Both advocated for more restrictive Libel Laws to silence critics. There are many more similarities but you get the picture. All petty, and would be, Dictators are alike

  6. Field Flower The point was not about economic systems the point was about what methods use petty dictators to grab power. As for Vaping it was TT who started the whole Vape Ban, it was TT who abandoned the Vale Ban saying “this is going to cost me votes”.
