The full sentence is: While America has high corporate tax rate (Some countries in the Western World are lower such as Ireland), our EFFECTIVE Corporate tax rate is amount the lowest in the Western Industrialized Countries. How can both sentences have been true. Enter the good ole special interest tax breaks, tax loopholes, corporate shell companies, etc. The sad part about Trump’s Tax Cut is that it eliminated zero corporate deductions, loopholes, carried interest, etc. So now you have the phenomenon of very profitable corporations paying zero, zero, zero taxes. Think about that for awhile - was this an accidental oversight?
