The scam worked like this: Trump Org would sell Real Estate to these entities which would buy the properties through Shell Companies. Trump Org would sell at a 25% markup over Market Price. The Russians got to “clean” their money and Trump Org made massive profits. Don Jr. 2008: "In terms of high-end product influx into the US, Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets.” Don Jr. 2008: “ In Dubai, and certainly with our project in SoHo, and anywhere in New York. We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia." Eric T. 2014: “We don’t rely on American banks. We have all the funding we need out of Russia. We just go there all the time.”
