I also showed you that Republicans have fought against every major Veterans Bill from the Big one in 1944, 1984, 2001, 2008, and 2012. Republicans have sponsored/cosponsored only 37% of the Total G.I. Bills on record. Note: That Cosponsored means that both Republicans & Democrats offered up the Bill Together.

  19.  @Septemberszero  Feelings should not be confused with Facts. Having served my self I know that Republicans give the military weapons ( sometimes even if we don’t want the weapon platform) and Democrats give us benefits, healthcare, housing, pay, and help us take care of our families.

  22.  @derrellthomas239  What Bills have the Republican Party voted against or stood in the way of. 1. The G.I. Bill 1944 2. The 1984 G.I. Bill 3. The 2008 G.I. Bill 4. The 2012 V.A. Bill Republicans have been the lead sponsors, or cosponsors, on 37% percent of bills considered by the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee. More often than not Republicans have stood in the way of most Veterans Bills.

Republicans love to promote weapons purchases but very seldom promote pay increases, healthcare, facilities improvements, facilities for military families, VA, etc. Only when properly shamed will Republicans support spending on the physical flesh of the military.
