That was an early example of our Republican Government controlling information and making it say what they wanted it to - much like Trump’s government today. At that time I still believed in Republicans, freedom, fiscal responsibility, low taxes, strong defense etc. But it all turned out to be lies. Ronald Reagan, huge defense expenditures, cut taxes, and racked up huge deficits. Bush Sr. Same MO. Clinton balanced the budget but couldn’t keep his pants zipped. Bush W, lied about WMDs and racked up about 5 - 7 Trillion in deficits due to his never ending war in the Middle East. But enough about that let’s talk about you. They and other Main Stream Media Outlets started to unwind the Aluminum Tube myth, the Yellow cake myth, the Drone Nuke Delivery myth, Curveball & and Mobile Bio Weapons lab myths, etc. So yes, they withstand the test of time and get it right over and over again. Faux on the other hand has always gotten it wrong over and over. They were all over WMDs, they and their pundits had 46% of Conservative Americans believing WMDs were found and were real.
