  3. Bumaye HGW That's sort of my point. The Belgian army has no real tanks, and no modern infantry doctrine. They are still equipped and trained to fight the Soviets on the plains of Germany. Their idea of combined arms stops at the battalion level. The idea of using company and platoon level combined arms combat teams would make their heads explode.

  7. ura soul Your argument is complete bullshit... "Wars without weapons would be almost impossible." Please tell me about how we never had wars before industrialized munitions manufacturing. The reality is that the size and scale of wars had been escalating up until WWII. Then the military industrial complex allowed the major powers on this planet to develop their militaries to such an extent as to act as an effective deterrent to outright war between significant nations. A deterrent that has worked for most of a century.
